I know that I've been a bit silent for awhile. I've also been a bit reticent about sharing too much personal information, but here goes.

Shortly after last year's Southern Comfort Conference I was diagnosed with malignant melanoma - cancer! As best I can tell, I'd had it since 2003, but it was never a concern and seemed as a small symmetrical mole. However, eventually it grew and became asymmetrical, which was cause for concern.

By November I'd had four minor surgeries and had begun chemo therapy. I am now about 7-months into this process, which will wrap up in January of next year.

Anyway, the resulting anemia is really the worst of it, but I've decided that I am going to attend the Rubber Doll World Rendezvous anyway. Damn it all - lol

Hopefully, being among friends will be a nice pick me up - I hope so.
